Pre-Treatment Instructions

General Health Considerations

  • EMS Body Sculpting is safe for most individuals, but it is not recommended for those with certain conditions, including pacemakers, heart conditions, epilepsy, or metal implants in the treatment area. Please consult your doctor if you have any health concerns or conditions.

  • Inform your therapist of any pregnancy or recent surgeries in the treatment area.

48 Hours Before Treatment

  • Stay hydrated. Drinking plenty of water before your session helps optimize muscle function during the treatment.

  • Avoid intense exercise on the day of your session to ensure your muscles are well-rested and ready for stimulation.

  • Do not consume alcohol or excessive caffeine in the 24 hours leading up to your treatment, as these can affect muscle responsiveness.

On the Day of Treatment

  • Try not to eat 30 minutes before your session if the treatment is targeting the core area. A full stomach can interfere with the muscle contractions and make the treatment less effective.

  • Arrive well-hydrated and well-rested for your session.

  • Avoid applying lotions, oils, or creams to the treatment area to ensure proper electrode placement.

  • Wear comfortable, loose clothing so that the treatment area can be easily accessed.

Post-Treatment Care

Immediately After Treatment

  • You may experience muscle soreness similar to the feeling of an intense workout. This is normal and typically resolves within 24-48 hours.

  • Redness in the treatment area is also common and should subside within a few hours after the session.

  • You may notice that the treated area feels slightly tight or tender due to muscle contractions.

First 24-48 Hours

  • Rest and recovery are essential after treatment. Avoid any strenuous exercise or heavy physical activity during the first 48 hours.

  • Stay hydrated to support the muscle recovery process.

  • Gentle stretching can help alleviate any soreness or tightness in the muscles.

Days 3-7 After Treatment

  • You may experience some mild soreness in the muscles as they continue to repair and tone. This is normal and should not cause concern.

  • Avoid intense exercise for at least 3-4 days following treatment.

  • Continue to hydrate and eat a well-balanced diet to support muscle recovery.

  • You can start to resume regular exercise after the recovery period, but it’s advisable to begin with lighter activities.

Long-Term Care

  • Consistency is key for the best results. Follow the recommended treatment schedule, typically 4-6 sessions, spaced a few days apart for optimal muscle tone and fat reduction.

  • Maintain a healthy lifestyle, including regular exercise and a balanced diet, to enhance and maintain the benefits of the treatment.
